Whenever there are scenes about junk cars in American movies, I would often see those auto lifts that pile up those crushed cars in tall heaps. I guess these services are just very common in the United States.
I have yet to see one in my country though. Maybe that is because even the oldest car is not sold to the junk shop as many owners would still want to revive their old cars. This is not so much as making trip down memory lane as trying to make the car last as long as it can. That is probably the reason why we do not have as many junk cars as there are in America.
