Desktops or Laptops as Prizes

Every time I go to a department or grocery store, I always noticed that most of them always have a raffle promo almost every month. And I noticed that they always have desktops as one of the major prizes but that was before, about a few years ago. Now, I noticed that most of them have changed dramatically lately, even promos by product brands does it also. They don’t raffle desktops anymore but laptops or notebooks by the number.

Why the sudden change? I don’t really know but I guess it is the laptops’ mobility and easy handling that makes store or company owners choose them over desktops. Anyway, not only stores are doing this but also famous websites. When they have contests, they always have laptops, mobile phones and other gadgets as prizes. And my lucky guess is…mobility has power!

Oh well, though they prefer laptops or notebooks as prizes, I always prefer a desktop PC for my own personal use. I know mobility has its conveniences but a desktop has the capacity that a laptop can never level.
